Santa Monica is a beachfront city located in western Los Angeles County, California. The city is named after the Christian Saint, Monica. Santa Monica is bordered on three sides by the Pacific Palisades to the north, Brentwood on the northeast, West Los Angeles and Mar Vista on the east, and Venice on the southeast. Santa Monica is home to many Hollywood celebrities and executives and is a mixture of affluent single-family neighborhoods, renters, surfers, professionals, and students.
Santa Monica State Beach draws visitors from around the globe. It is 3 miles long and covers 245 acres of sand. Residents and visitors enjoy the sandy beach, bike paths, beautiful views of the Santa Monica Mountains and Ocean, great restaurants, and shopping.

Due to the new tech boom, many established and new technology companies have moved their offices to Santa Monica. This has lead to an increase in job growth, higher income, and a very strong housing market. Single family homes and condo prices have continually increased in the last several years. As a real estate agent in Santa Monica I have seen multiple offers on homes and condos time and time again due to the increased demand and low inventory.

The United States Census Bureau estimates that in 2014 the population of Santa Monica was 92,987.
